This cryptography workshop will teach you the number theory behind the algorithms of different types of encryption and decryption. You will learn how the world is able to protect its data and why our information stays secure. We will conduct the exploration of different cryptographic algorithms in groups and have exciting competitions with prizes to see who can crack their ciphers the fastest!
All the participants in this workshop must be grades 6+ in order to ensure a basic understanding of the required knowledge in math.
The workshop will be held on August 6th from 5-7 PM at the Pittsfield Library (2359 Oak Valley Dr, Ann Arbor, MI 48103) in the Muskrat Room.
